Ohmline is a glyco-glycero-ether lipid that was previously designed in our research groups. This compounds is a selective modulator of SK3 ion channel. This ion channel is implicated in the migration of cancer cells. In a murine model of breast cancer the inhibition of SK3 with ohmline reduced bone and lung metastases. In this article we report the synthesis of new analogues of ohmline with structural modifications at the disaccharide moiety. The new analogues were evaluated as inhibitor of SK3 channel. This work led to the conclusion that the structure of the dissacharide moiety can deeply impact the inhibition properties and that compound 2 possessed similar inhibition properties than ohmline.
